IVL’s subsidiary Basta is now presenting the next step in the work on/towards a non-toxic construction. Together with other players in the construction industry, Basta has developed a method that will give a safer and better grasp on endocrine disruptors in construction products.

The list of substances covered by our criterion for endocrine disruptors (ED) has been updated. The list also includes substances covered by Basta’s information requirements – substances in the EDS database, potential vPvBs and substances on the candidate list.

We have now published an updated list of the substances covered by our criterion for endocrine disruptors (ED). The list also contains substances that are covered by BASTA’s information requirements – substances on the EDS database, potential vPvB and substances on the candidate list.

On the morning of August 18, IVL Swedish Environmental Institute and the Building Materials Industry presented information in an exciting press release regarding the new eBVD web-apies that they have developed in collaboration with BASTA, Finfo, VVS-Info and GBR (the Swedish Flooring Trade Association, GBR).

To administratively simplify all registration of materials, goods and chemical products, BASTA will now remove the Amendment to Safety Data Sheets.

We have recently improved our information about our new criteria for endocrine disrupting substances and our other information requirements. In connection with this, a few additions have been made to the database.

BASTA wants to support our customers in transforming our popular course BASTA- Criteria’s, qualifying, registering products in the BASTA system and requirements of the sector to a online course.

To make it possible to continue our further development of the Basta system, we have upgraded the registration platform for our affiliated suppliers.

Now updated criteria 2020: A1 published containing Basta’s new criteria for endocrine disruptors. As previously announced, new criteria apply to hormone-disrupting substances from 1/1 2020 with a transitional period until 1/7 2020.
